1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how SequelOne Solutions Private Limited, trading as HONO ("HONO", "we", "us", "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites at https://www.hono.ai and https://hono.ai, including all subdomains.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used.
We also use similar technologies that work in comparable ways, including pixels and tracking beacons, software development kits (SDKs) in our mobile apps, and browser local storage. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of these.
Cookies may be:
- First-party — set by HONO;
- Third-party — set by another organisation whose service we use, such as an analytics or advertising provider;
- Session — deleted when you close your browser;
- Persistent — remaining on your device until they expire or you delete them.
3. Your consent — and how to change it
We only set strictly necessary cookies automatically. Every other cookie is set only after you have given consent.
When you first visit our website you will see a cookie banner offering you a genuine choice. You can accept all, reject all, or choose by category. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and no non-essential cookie is placed on your device before you consent.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer of any page on our website. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before you withdrew.
We keep a record of your consent choice for 12 months so that we can demonstrate that consent was given and honour your preference. After that we will ask you again. We will also ask you again if we make a material change to the cookies we use.
Access to our website is never conditional on accepting cookies. You can use the site fully having rejected everything except the strictly necessary category, although some features such as embedded videos or live chat may not work.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, and delete cookies already stored. Instructions differ by browser — see the help section of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. Blocking all cookies at browser level may stop parts of our site from functioning.

5. The cookies we use
The specific inventory of cookies placed on this site is currently being verified through a live consent-management scan following our recent site migration. Publishing vendor-quoted durations before verification is not a substitute for measured data. We will publish the complete inventory below within 30 days of this policy taking effect.
In the meantime, we can confirm the following:
5.1 Strictly necessary — active on every visit
- `hono_cookie_consent` (HONO, first-party) — stores your cookie preferences so we can honour them and demonstrate consent. Duration: 180 days.
- `hono_session` and `hono_csrf` (HONO, first-party) — maintain your session and protect against cross-site request forgery on authenticated pages. Duration: session and 8 hours respectively.
- Load balancer and CDN cookies set by our hosting provider for security, bot filtering and traffic distribution. Duration: session to 24 hours.
5.2 Functional — set only if you allow the Functional category
- `messagesUtk` (HubSpot, third-party) — identifies you across sessions in HubSpot live chat so your conversation history is preserved.
- Embedded-video cookies (YouTube / Vimeo, third-party) — enable playback and remember your preferences within the embed.
5.3 Analytics and performance — set only if you allow the Analytics category
- `__hstc`, `hubspotutk`, `__hssc`, `__hssrc` (HubSpot, third-party) — measure visits, sessions and traffic sources, and link an anonymous visitor's browsing to any contact record they create through a form.
- PostHog analytics cookies (third-party) — product-level session recording and funnel measurement.
5.4 Advertising and targeting — set only if you allow the Advertising category
- LinkedIn Insight Tag — conversion tracking, retargeting and audience measurement.
- Meta Pixel — conversion tracking and retargeting on Facebook and Instagram.
- Google Ads — conversion tracking and remarketing.

6. Third-party cookies and your data
Some cookies are set by third parties who act as controllers of the data they collect through them, or jointly with us. We do not control how they use that data. Their processing is governed by their own privacy notices:

7. Our legal basis
We place strictly necessary cookies on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website. These cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and its national implementations.
We place all other cookies on the basis of your consent, obtained through our cookie banner. This meets the standard of a freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of your wishes by clear affirmative action, as required by Article 4(11) and Article 7 of the GDPR, section 6 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Article 6 of the KSA Personal Data Protection Law and Article 6 of the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.
8. International transfers
Some of our cookie providers are established outside your country, including in the United States. Where personal data collected through cookies is transferred internationally, we and our providers rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the recipient is certified, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

9. Your rights
Cookie identifiers and the data associated with them may constitute personal data. You have rights over that data, including the rights of access, correction, erasure, objection and withdrawal of consent.

10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browsers may offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no accepted industry standard for responding to it, and we do not currently respond to it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the cookies we use or to applicable law. Where changes are material, we will update the banner and ask for your consent again. The version and dates at the top of this page show when it was last changed.
